DADMAC is very stable at room temperature, does not hydrolyze, is not flammable, and has low skin irritation and toxicity.It can be used as a cationic monomer to produce monomers or copolymers with other monomers. The polymer is used as a formaldehyde-free color-fixing agent in textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries, forming a film on the fabric to improve color fastness;
In papermaking aids, it can be used as retention aid, paper coating antistatic agent, and AKD sizing accelerator; it can be used for decolorization and flocculation in the process of water treatment and purification, with high efficiency and non-toxicity; in daily chemicals, it can be used as Shampoo combing agent, wetting agent and antistatic agent; can be used as clay stabilizer in oilfield chemicals, cationic additive in acid and fracturing fluid, etc. Its main functions are electrical neutralization, adsorption, flocculation, cleaning, decolorization, especially as a conductive modifier and antistatic properties of synthetic resins.
